In response to the crush of emails, we tried to bring you all an image of Surly, we really did. A lot of you want to see just how much he resembles Meriadoc Brandybuck in LOTR. However, professional ice hockey teams being the way they are, The Shark's PR folks seemed a tad bit ....reluctant to hand out copyrighted images of their players for use on a web site dedicated to humor.
Imagine that.

Finally, some of us TLL male staffers, uh, not that we are intimidated by professional hockey players or anything like that mind you, but we still feel compelled to pont out that Surly is a tad bit ....well, bigger than a hobbit. Perhaps a descendent from The Fifth Age...
