Permanent Relationships?
While leafing through that great hair salon magazine, People, I came
across an article on stars having tattoos removed. Apparently, Angelina
Jolie just plain didn't want good, ole boy's, Billy Bob's name on her
arm any more. Image that match not working out? They seemed like the
ideal couple. I mean who among us hasn't wanted to wear a vial of our
true love's blood around our neck and have their name painfully and
permanently inked into our skin? Why, this was a match made in heaven.
Oh wait a minute, no it wasn't, because according to this article breaking
up may be hard to do, but having a tattoo removed is much more painful.
This is a direct quote from People, "it hurts 10 times worse than
the tattoo."Tattooing oneself is certainly popular in Hollywood,
and so is changing the tattoo when one breaks up with one star to date
another and then another.
Any woman can tell you that just changing your driver's license to your
husband's last name may trigger marriage counseling. In my case, I had
changed my last name to his, changed all of my business licenses in
his name, opened a joint checking account, and the thing that triggered
the divorce after five years was that I finally change the initials
on my luggage.
That was it, within three months, we were filing for a divorce. I have
been married to my second husband for 14 years. We have different last
names, I don't have any initials on my luggage, and we have separate
checking accounts. Would I have a tattoo with beloved husband's name
tattooed on my body? No way, I want to stay married to this man.
